SAKURA DEEPTECH SHIBUYA 1st Anniversary & Accelerator Demo Day was held.

On Thursday, December 4, 2025, we held the "SAKURA DEEPTECH SHIBUYA 1st Anniversary & Accelerator Demo Day".
This event commemorated the first anniversary of SAKURA DEEPTECH SHIBUYA's opening and served as a showcase for the results of the approximately six-month accelerator program.

On the day, two panel discussions were held on the following themes:
The first was "Challenges Faced by Overseas Startups When Collaborating with Japanese Companies and How to Overcome Them."
The second was "New Possibilities Created by Combining Shibuya's Cultural Strengths with Deep Tech."
Each featured lively discussions among speakers from both Japan and abroad.

Additionally, as the main event content, the following 10 companies selected for the accelerator program presented the results of their six-month program:

2.Code Metal (USA): AI platform for automatic conversion of high-level programming languages
3.Novathena (USA): AI-powered real-time operational support platform
4.Impossible Metals (USA): Environmentally conscious autonomous seabed mining robots
5.Aikido Technologies (USA):Floating platform technology for offshore wind power
6.Verobotics (Israel): AI-powered autonomous exterior wall cleaning and maintenance robot
7.Edgenesis (Singapore): Cloud-integrated platform for efficient operation of numerous IoT devices
8.Thermulon (UK): Low-cost, ultra-insulating silica aerogel
9.EX-Fusion (Japan): Clean energy utilizing commercial fusion technology
10.Foundation Alloy (USA): Ultra-high-performance metals using all-solid-state metal technology

During the presentations by each company, they not only highlighted the strengths of their proprietary technologies but also discussed specific anticipated use cases in the Japanese market and potential collaboration opportunities with Japanese companies.
Some startups have already conducted proof-of-concept trials within Japan or signed basic agreements for future collaboration with Japanese companies.
Through this approximately six-month program, it was evident that each company's business depth and collaboration with Japanese companies are steadily growing and developing.

On the day of the event, over 200 participants from startups, corporations, investors, research institutions, and support organizations attended.
The closing networking session featured lively discussions between speakers and attendees, fostering new connections.
This day showcased the growth of the community cultivated by our facility over the past year and highlighted its future potential.

SAKURA DEEPTECH SHIBUYA will continue to serve as a hub where startups challenging the deep tech domain and diverse players gather to foster co-creation.
