Big if True Science Accelerator (BiTS) Japan Cohort Information Session
ASCENT Japan Director and former ARPA-E*¹ Program Director Douglas Wicks will host a seminar introducing the overview, objectives, and application process for the BiTS Japan Cohort.
BiTS is a 15-week, part-time, online-focused accelerator program designed to develop bold research ideas into viable research programs.
Through one-on-one mentoring and iterative program design, participants refine their research concepts, culminating in a Demo Day pitch to funders and host institutions.
This program, building on its track record in the UK and Germany, is now being launched for the first time in Japan.
Organizer Renaissance Philanthropy will support up to 15 next-generation R&D leaders and help develop concepts for ARPA-style research programs (CRP*²).
We sincerely look forward to welcoming researchers and engineers eager to take on new challenges at the forefront of research, technology, and policy.
*¹ … A state-led, high-risk, high-impact research and development program specializing in the energy sector and aimed at societal implementation.
*² … Challenge-driven Research Program
